**Trigger Warning for entire thread for violence, guilt, weapons, harsh words, ect.**
So before you start reading this, you should know, this IS very real, and is happening right now to Lauren in her inner world. Don't read tis is you're uneasy about death, or weapons/violence. Lauren is working on an escape plan right now, but I'm typing what I know about all this until I can see whatever else is going on.

Lauren was cursing as she exited the swinging hammock that lead to more than a 1000 foot drop below her. She used to be rather uneasy about being that high up in something as little as a netted hammock, but now, she could navigate on and off it with ease. She stepped onto the platform that had just opened and stood in line for the toilet, a glare plastered on her face. After what seemed like an hour Lauren was finally out of the stalls and back in her hammock. She looked over to Piper who was still asleep, despite the fact that the blinding lights had clicked on already, in her hammock a few over. She’d been beat brutally yesterday because of what Lauren had done. Lauren felt extremely guilty staring over at her love laying broken in her ‘bed’.
Lauren looked around to make sure no one was looking, well at least no guards were looking, before she skillfully jumped from hammock to hammock, despite if there were people in it or not, until she reached Piper’s. The sudden jolt from the landing made the hammock rock dangerously. Piper’s eyes snapped open then, but she wasn’t alarmed. Lauren had been doing this every morning for her.
“Morning sleeping ugly.” Lauren teased in a hushed tone. Piper gave a half smile and slowly sat up not wanting to rock it too much more or it might flip on them.
“Yeah, yeah.” Piper shrugged. “The lines clear?” She asked. Lauren slowly stood with shakey legs from trying to balance on the small bedding. She looked across the platform but there was still a rather long line for the bathrooms. Lauren slowly lowered herself back in a crouch next to Piper.
“No.” Lauren sighed.
Piper nodded and sat back in the hammock. “Having fun yet?” She asked lightly recalling the stunt Lauren had done yesterday. Lauren had said she was going to ‘liven things up around here’.
Lauren looked away from her. “Yes, loads.” She replied in a monotone voice. Lauren then looked over Piper seriously. “Are you okay?”
“Perfect as always.” Piper smiled, but the smile didn’t reach her eyes. Lauren nodded with a fake smile as well, and that was all they had time to say before a guard shooed Lauren away. Lauren and Piper weren’t permitted to talk to each other at all, because the ELVES knew if they got a plan together, they were going to escape. And that would be a major ‘no-no’.
Lauren was used to staving herself, so the fact that she wasn’t allowed in the Café today because of what she’d done yesterday morning, didn’t bother her that much. The fact that she hadn’t been allowed in the Café since she had got her, which was three days ago, bothered her. True, she herself had gone longer without food, but usually by now she’d break and eat something. It was starting to wear and tear her down, which was exactly what the ELVES wanted. But Lauren had to keep fighting, she just HAD to. They had broken Piper. Piper would still glare, but she’d say nothing to the guards when they gave an order. She did nothing but take the beatings they gave her and moved on. It sicken Lauren to watch her OBEYING the enemies. But Lauren supposed it was best for her. It was a survival method.
All the hammocks except Lauren’s and a few below her were cleared and taken to the Café where the food apparently tasted like sh*t, according to Piper, and the drinks were loaded with sedatives to keep everyone groggy enough not to try anything. It made them not be able to think straight. It was like watching zombies move around her, and worst, Piper was one of the zombies Lauren watched the most. Lauren herself had tried the water, but after how it made her feel, she had only drank little sips of it here and there to keep alive.
“Hyia, Lauren.” Katelin from down below called up at her. Her voice echoed in the large room. Lauren inwardly groaned. Katelin was quite mental, you see, but she was almost desperately clinging to Lauren’s side. She tried to do everything Lauren did and tried to prove herself to Lauren. Though it was kinda sweet that she thought so highly of Lauren, Lauren didn’t like her, simply because she didn’t want to get attached to anyone in here. Everyone in here was on death row. For Piper, it was in three days. For Lauren, no one had told her weither she was going to live or die, simply that she wasn’t going to be ‘released’, whichever that meant, until she built the technology they were asking for. For Katelin, her’s was in four-teen days.
Despite not wanting to talk, but silently plan right now, Lauren knew Katelin wouldn’t leave her alone until she answered. “Hmm?” Lauren responded back. She often gave these kinds of responds when Katelin was talking with her.
“I can’t believe you took out the entire shelf yesterday!” Katelin praised.
“Yeah.” Lauren agreed deep in thought of if she could actually pull an escape off or if she was just going to have to let Piper go again. Needless to say, Lauren wouldn’t and couldn’t keep hurting Piper with her foolish ways. But if she gave that up, the ELVES had won.
“I mean, and you didn’t even get touched!”
“Nope.” Lauren muttered closing her eyes trying to focus. She had to do something fast, though. Tomorrow was the last full day with Piper. She’d have to make her move then. But what could she do today? She couldn’t get into anymore trouble, the fight that Piper and her had had was…. Harsh. It had taken a toll on Lauren and so Lauren had taken almost two cups of water last night to ensure herself to go to sleep.
Nights were rough when you couldn’t sleep. Some people would move in their sleep and actidently flip the hammock which meant almost certain death for them. Others had tried sleeping on the platform instead of the hammocks. Well, they soon stopped that after the guards ha started pushing people over the edge for doing that. Lauren was lucky she did neither. Lauren would laid there all night doing nothing but think about her end though. She’d reflect on her life and wonder if all of it was really worth it. All the fighting, the actions, the inventions…. If Lauren had never invented that memory barrier buster, neither her nor Piper would be here. If she’d just left Will alone…. Things had been peaceful, why couldn’t she have left everyone alone?! She wondered if Piper secretly hated her for that. She wondered actually what Piper thought of her anymore. Every mistake that Lauren had made landed in Piper’s lap. She would get the brunt of it, and Lauren seemed to get off Scott free. Yet Piper would be tortured, or killed for her mistakes. Lauren would give anything if she could turn back time.
“…Lauren are you listening?” Lauren suddenly snapped back to reality. She’d dazed off thinking of how life used to be. Lauren flipped over on her hammock and looked down at Katelin annoyed.
“Do you ever stop?” She asked rudely. Katelin stared at her before smiling assuming she was joking and laughed it off.
“You’re planning.” Katelin said cheerfully. “I can see it in your eyes. What are you planning this time?” Lauren rolled back on her back looking over at the guards who bored holes at Lauren.
“Nothing. Maybe you should give it up, Katelin. We’re not going to win.” Lauren sighed.
“Hmm, that’s funny, I thought I was talking to Lauren. You don’t happen to have DID do you?” She teased. Lauren sighed frustrated.
“Sorry, Lauren’s not available. Please call back never.” Lauren said in a monotone voice mimicking an old phone recorder.
They said nothing more to each other after that. Lauren waited in her hammock for everyone to return. She’d then be put to the test again. In the pass few tests, it had been how her psychical body could with-handle things. She wondered if it would be the same or if it would be different today. Piper said that they probed her sometimes, or tested her powers, her blood work, psychical endurance…. Other things. Lauren supposed she wasn’t tested that way because she was an Aura ELF. The ELVES had to find different tests for her.
After testing, she’d be hauled back to her hammock for an hour of ‘free time’, as the guards referred to it. Then she’d be hauled off to the testing room/lab, where she’d again refuse to create the technology she’d invented in her other dimension that had brought her here. They wanted her to build them countless of things, some things Lauren hadn’t a clue what it was, but they wanted to see if she could do it. Lauren would pretend to work sometimes and make the machines blow up on purpose as if it was an accident. Sometimes, they bought it was an accident, other times they’d beat her down and tell her to try again. She knew what they were truly after. They wanted the machine that had brought Lauren here. Lauren figured they probably wanted it because they wanted to go to other dimensions and take out Aura ELVES without having to find a way around the blind spots.
Many aura ELVES like herself and Piper used to hide in blind spots so the ELVES could do nothing to them. Actually, both of them together created portable blind spots, and a massive blind spot that didn’t affect the buildings, and so it was like having a heated spot under a blind spot. It was done to survive the ELVES. And if Lauren and Piper could do such things, then they weren’t the only ones who’d figured these kind of things out. Pygrus was another Aura ELF on the run that was needed to be taken down as well. However, Lauren and Piper had been the only two thrus far, to invent a machine that could allow and Aura ELF in the ELF dimension. That was impossible as far as the ELVES knew, and now that she’d done it, they wanted her to do it again.
One of the problems she’d tried to explain to them was Piper was helping her throughout the whole project until the end. But Piper, now that she was an ELF, didn’t have the knowledge she had as an Aura Elf. Piper could no longer keep up with Lauren’s technology rants. She didn’t know how to do it any longer.
Another problem that Lauren had tried to explain to the dense headed ELVES was that she was unfamiliar with their technology and magic to know where to put things or how to take them apart. Which of course, she was catching on quickly, but she wasn’t about to tell them otherwise.
Lastly, there was just the problem of Lauren didn’t want the ELVES to have the technology so she’d refuse to make it. They’d tried picking her brain for the memories of making the machine, but were unsuccessful. They’d tried forcing her by beating Piper in front of her to make her work, and though that had been very hard for Lauren to watch, it was as well, unsuccessful. They’d tried beating Lauren to make her work, but it didn’t work. Nothing they tried would work on Lauren who was just too dead set on what she wanted to allow the ELVES to get what they wanted.
